I was poking around in my photos and realized that I never posted a few gems from a trip to Italy last spring. I didn’t take a lot of pictures of cars—mostly lots of food and old buildings—but we did randomly encounter a vintage rally parked for a photo op at the San Biagio church outside Montepulciano, and I couldn’t resist.
Last but not least, our noble egg-shaped steed throughout our lovely vacation: a Lancia Ypsilon diesel hatchback with a manual. Because there were only two of us and we folded down the rear seats to put luggage in the back, I didn’t even notice the rear door handles until I’d already been driving it for a few days—just thought it was a 2+2 hatchback.
